Vauxhall City Farm riding centre gets funding boost

  • A riding centre in south London has secured nearly £50k worth of National Lottery funding.

Vauxhall City Farm Riding Centre has been granted £49,882 as part of Sport England’s Inspired Facilities fund.

The funding will go towards building three new stables, enabling the centre to buy three new horses.

This, they say, will help them to expand and provide more riding for disabled children and adults and subsidised lessons for local children.

Linda Hinds of Vauxhall City Farm said: “We are absolutely delighted. This means we can offer more riding at affordable rates as well as help secure the future of the project.”

More than 1,300 local sports projects across the country have now received National Lottery funding through Inspired Facilities, part of Sport England’s Olympic and Paralympic legacy programme.
